Duties
The Military Manpower Administration in charge of military service administration in Korea, was established,
based on the Government Organization Act as a unit outside the Ministry of National Defense on August 20, 1970.
There are 4 Bureaus, 17 Divisions, 11 Regional Military Manpower Administrations and 2 Military Manpower Branch Offices.
The Physical Reexamination Center is located in Seoul and the Call-Center is located in Daejeon.
The major tasks are gathering and managing about 8.24 million of the military human resources which are 16.8% of total population for the national defense,
and we are in charge of issuing the compulsory assignment of conscription, recruits and summoning, wartime mobilization, regional reserve unit organization
and management, industrial technology personnel service assistance and overseas travel permit of conscription candidates.
