Military duty information
Up to applicant to choose when to take draft physical examination and enroll(enrolment at a preferred time)
- Enrolled into active duty even if applicantsatisfies standing reserve service criteria
- After enrolment, “military adaptation program” is provided for one week, before new recruits training begins. During the training period, assigned drill instructor and assistant drill instructor (senior permanent resident enrollee) help you understand the language, how to use the military facilities, and military service in general.

Overseas Travel Guarantee During Military Service
- Those who wish are guaranteed of overseas travel during regular leave per annum to maintain residence status.
- Roundtrip flight to and from your country of permanent residence is paid for by the government.(up to three times in military service)
- After you finish your service, your return travel expenses (including flight) are also covered by the government.
